The Amazon Firestick is the easiest and most popular way to watch Irish IPTV on any TV. This guide takes you from the box to your first channel in about five minutes, starting with the one check most guides miss: whether your Firestick model can install IPTV apps at all.
First check your Firestick runs Fire OS, not the newer Vega OS. Then turn on Developer Options by clicking your device name seven times in Settings, My Fire TV, About. Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore, allow it to install unknown apps, and use the link we send you on WhatsApp to install our free IrishIPTV app. Open the app, log in with your details, and your channels, TV guide and films appear.
In 2025 and 2026 Amazon started moving some new Fire TV Sticks to a new system called Vega OS. Vega OS devices do not allow apps from outside the Amazon Appstore, so the usual IPTV setup does not work on them. Check yours before you start.
How to check: go to Settings, My Fire TV, About. If the software version says "Fire OS" followed by a number, you can follow this guide. If it says "OS" with a number starting with 1, it is Vega OS. Source, October 2026
Follow these steps in order. Each one takes less than a minute. If you get stuck, message us on WhatsApp and we will walk you through it.
Plug the Firestick into an HDMI port on your TV and into power. Connect it to your Wi-Fi, using the 5 GHz network if you have one.
Go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then About. Click on your device name, such as Fire TV Stick 4K Max, seven times until you see a message saying you are now a developer.
Go back to the home screen, search for Downloader in the Amazon Appstore and install it. It is a free app.
Go to Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options, Install unknown apps, and turn Downloader on.
Open Downloader and type the code or link we send you on WhatsApp. Our IrishIPTV Firestick app downloads in a few seconds.
Press Install, then Done. When Downloader asks, delete the installation file to free up space on your Firestick.
Open the IrishIPTV app and enter the login details from your WhatsApp message. Copy them carefully, including capital letters.
Open Live TV, choose the Irish group and add your favourite channels. Set the time zone to Dublin so the TV guide is correct.
Our free Firestick app is the simplest option, but your IrishIPTV login also works in popular IPTV players such as IPTV Smarters and TiviMate, using your Xtream Codes details or M3U link. Model names can be confusing because Amazon reuses them. Check the box and the software version, or ask the shop before you buy.

Settings, My Fire TV, Restart clears the memory and keeps things fast.
Settings, Applications, Manage Installed Applications, choose the IPTV app, Clear cache.
Updates in the background can slow the stream at the worst moment.
In most apps, the menu button opens options like favourites and the TV guide.
These one-time changes free up memory and stop background tasks from interrupting your stream. You will find all of them in the Firestick Settings menu.
Settings, Preferences, Data Monitoring. It is not needed and uses a little memory.

Move through channel groups and the TV guide.
Open a channel, film or menu item.
Opens extra options in most IPTV apps, such as adding a channel to favourites.
Return to the channel list or guide without stopping the stream in most apps.
Skip through films and catch-up programmes.
Searches the Amazon home screen. Use the search inside the IPTV app to find channels.
Go to Settings, My Fire TV, About and click the device name seven times. It then appears in the My Fire TV menu.
Your Firestick may run Vega OS. Check Settings, My Fire TV, About. On Vega OS, ask us for an Appstore option.
Restart the Firestick, then open the app again. If it still fails, reinstall it with Downloader.
Copy the username, password and server address exactly as we sent them, with no spaces.
Move the router closer, use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or a cable, and pick the FHD version of the channel.
Free up storage, clear the cache and restart. Very old models can struggle with 4K.
