Your smart TV can play Irish IPTV with no extra box and no extra remote. Pick your TV brand below, install a player app from your TV's own app store and we activate it for you, usually within a few minutes. This guide covers Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Philips and Hisense, plus the settings that make live sport look its best.
Open your TV's app store (Samsung Apps, the LG Content Store or Google Play), install an IPTV player app such as IBO Player or Smart IPTV, and open it to see your TV's MAC address. Send that MAC address to us on WhatsApp and we activate your IrishIPTV playlist on the TV. Restart the app and your Irish channels, TV guide and films load. On Android and Google TV sets you can also install our free app and log in directly.
Almost every smart TV sold in Ireland since 2017 can run an IPTV player app. The brand and its operating system decide which apps you can install, so check yours before you start.

Samsung TVs use the Tizen system and the Samsung Apps store. You cannot install apps from outside the store, so you use a player app from Samsung Apps and we activate it with your TV's MAC address.
TipTurn off Instant On (Settings, General, Power and Energy Saving) if the app sometimes opens with a black screen. It makes the TV fully restart each time.
LG TVs run webOS and use the LG Content Store. Like Samsung, they only install store apps, so a player app plus MAC activation is the quickest route.
TipIf the LG Content Store is missing apps, check that the country in Settings, General, Location is set to Ireland and update the TV software.
Sony Bravia, TCL, Philips and many Hisense TVs run Android TV or Google TV. These work like an Android box, so you have the widest choice of apps, including our own.

Some smart TVs have very small app stores. If your TV has no IPTV player, a Firestick or Android box plugged into HDMI is quick, cheap and usually faster than the TV itself.
TipA Fire TV Stick 4K Max or Google TV Streamer often makes an older smart TV feel brand new, with faster menus and better Wi-Fi.

Samsung and LG player apps do not ask you to type a long login with the remote. Instead, the app gives your TV an ID and we link your playlist to it.

Point and click like a mouse, which makes typing logins and searching much quicker.
These changes make football, hurling and films look sharper and smoother. Menu names vary slightly by model.
Vivid mode looks bright in the shop but crushes detail. Standard or Filmmaker mode shows the picture as broadcast.
Samsung Auto Motion Plus or LG TruMotion helps fast sport but gives films a soap opera look. Turn it off for films.
Eco modes dim the picture and can slow the TV. Turn them off in the power settings.
Game mode removes picture processing to cut delay. For live TV the normal modes look better.
If you use a soundbar, set the output to HDMI ARC or eARC so the sound stays in sync.

One remote and no extra cables. Good on recent Samsung, LG and Google TVs, but the app choice is smaller and older TVs can be slow.

If your TV is more than five or six years old, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max is usually faster and smoother than the built-in apps.
Most smart TVs have an Ethernet port. A cable to the router gives the steadiest picture for big matches.
If you use Wi-Fi, connect the TV to the 5 GHz network and keep the router in the same room if you can.
Hold the power button on the remote until the TV restarts, or unplug it for a minute. A standby press is not a restart.
Settings, Support, Device Care, Manage Storage lets you clear the cache of the IPTV app.
webOS has no cache button, so uninstall and reinstall the app if it slows down. Your MAC activation stays.
Set the app and the TV to Dublin time so the TV guide matches what is on.
Check the TV country is set to Ireland and the software is up to date. If it is still missing, we suggest another app or a Firestick.
Your MAC address is not activated yet, or it was typed wrongly. Send us a new photo of the screen.
Turn off Instant On on Samsung, restart the TV and try the FHD version of the channel.
Set the time zone to Dublin in the app and check the TV clock is on automatic.
